The Thermoskin Carpal Tunnel Brace with Dorsal Stay has a metal splint positioned at 25° under the wrist and an additional dorsal splint on the top side of wrist and hand. With the metal splint positioned at 25 degrees and additional top side splint the wrist is protected from movements that can lead to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The adjustable velcro locking straps gives this brace a better fit. The exclusive patented Trioxon® lining increases circulation to aid in the treatment of repetitive stress injuries (RSI) and Tendonitis.

I have had carpal tunnel for some time now. I have done everything I could to help alleve the problem. Ergonomic keyboard at my desk at work. At night I take Advil. I have even undergone acupuncture. But none of these things could minimize the amount of numbness and tingling I would experience during the night while sleeping. I bought these upon recommendation of a friend who also suffers from carpal tunnel. When I wear them at night I no longer experience the tingling or numbness.

Item shipped promptly. Description was accurate. Product is much more comfortable than other one I purchased through drug store. Braces have really relieved my symptoms of carpal tunnel pain and numbness. I would buy these again.

I picked these up because I was feeling numbness in my thumb and went to the doctor; he said it was Carpal Tunnel. He gave me a medical brace to wear while I slept. As it turns out, the brace was helping out so much that I started wearing it all of the time. I used it while sleeping, at work, etc. All of a sudden, everybody I talked to was an expert on Carpal Tunnel. I was wishing people would mind their own business. I quickly noted that the brace provided by the doctor didn't "breathe" properly, and I had to wash it every few days because it began to smell. These braces aren't like that one -- they provide great support, and I haven't noticed any issue with odor. I'm certain I would have, as I'm one of those people who makes a mental note when somebody who's wearing a leather watch strap might not be aware of the smell if they don't give it time off, and I'll make an attempt to stay away from that situation because it makes me sick to my stomach. Anyway, if you think you have a need for good braces and don't want to deal with washing them all of the time, these are the best I've found.

I have severe Carpal Tunnel. Being awakened from sleep every night by pain in my hands and entire arms was getting old. I did some research on the internet and subsequently bought both left and right arm brace. I can finally sleep through the night and the symptoms from CTS have been almost completely abated. Excellent product!

Best wrist guards around

I had been using wrist guards on both wrists for several months, but neither was very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I found this pair and decided to give them a shot and they're PERFECT. They fit comfortably, don't smell, and are super easy to clean. There are 2 splints per brace, one above and one underneath your wrist, as opposed to other guards that are only splinted underneath. The metal splints are easy to access, and with a little digging they will slide right out so you can wash the brace.
I have very small wrists and I'd had problems with my old braces making my thumbs hurt. I needed to tighten the straps to get the wrist support, but that would cause the thumb area to dig in and hurt after a while. With these braces, the thumb opening isn't restricting, it's wide and surrounded by soft cloth, not firm edges. There are three adjustable straps -- two around the forearm and one longer one around the wrist -- which help me fit the brace snugly on my little wrists, but not so snug that my thumb starts to hurt.
They're advertised to increase the temperature around your wrist, and they certainly do. My hands will sweat a little after wearing them for a long time, but not uncomfortably so.
I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a comfortable, easily washable, and supportive set of wrist braces.
